RealCBT LogoWhat is Real CBT?
LearnKey's e-platform includes authoring tools, called RealCBT™. RealCBT suite of tools integrates all of the benefits of CD-ROM technology but includes the web-based management, web delivery, and cost benefits of web-based streaming video. It essentially creates a "classroom on demand," by delivering audio, streaming instructor video, large-format text, computer simulations and demonstrations, and testing components to individual users' desktops. It uses existing network infrastructures, existing standard applications, and optimum deployment techniques to deliver the best self-paced training available in the market today. All of this in a theater-sized window, for ease of use and optimum readability.

RealCBT™ tightly integrates the following formats for each course and session for maximum training experience:

  • Real Video and Real Audio. Industry-standard RealNetworks streaming video for instructor discussions and key point overviews. Optimum streaming rate at 112Kbps.
  • LearnKey RealCBT™ data type. Pristine-quality screen captures using Real Networks "certified" data type, so download and viewing included with RealNetworks G2 Player and Player Plus. Streaming rate at 12-35Kbps.
  • LearnKey Creative data type. Animated presentations captured with LearnKey RealCBT Tools and highly compressed for delivery.
  • LearnKey RealCBT™ testing engine. Includes pre-assessment and post-test modes, utilizing multiple choice, "all that apply," and demonstration questions, fully simulating popular certification tests. Integrates with and reports to LearnKey Management System.
  • LearnKey RealCBT™ Labs. Provides full linear interactive simulation for "near-hands on" experience, without the need for the actual software. Includes interactive guides, coaches, and demonstrations.
